But it wasn't always that way. A.J. and Maria both pursued higher educations out of state. After she graduated college, the high school sweethearts married and eventually established a life on the East Coast. Corporate burnout hit shortly before they welcomed their first son to their family. Feeling pulled to have the child's grandparents be a regular part of his life, a move "back home" was facilitated by the end of 2014. We have had a lot of challenges since then, but believe the farm is the right place to raise our three boys. They are grass-fed and pastured for most of their lives and then finished on grain for marbelization. They are raised naturally, without added hormones and when not in pasture kept in clean barn areas for their comfort. Our goal is to raise happy, healthy cattle which translates into the beef you consume.
